South Sudan Warriors Raiding Northern Uganda, Sell Weapons

Warriors from South Sudan have raided Uganda and are selling off some of their superior weapons to the residents, an area Member of Parliament has revealed. Rev. Simon Lakodo said the Topotho, who have moved from south eastern Sudan escaping from severe drought and a recent clash with Kenya's Turkana are selling RPGs, G2, G3 and hand grenades to residents in the north eastern Uganda.

The cattle raiders arrived last week and are presently camped at Kidepo National Park but are moving south of the country, the legislator told his colleagues on the Defence and Internal Affairs parliamentary committee on Thursday 22.

Jihad Moving to Africa

In a conference on Africa in Washington DC , in February 2007., Moshe Terdman Presented the Following paper:
Factors Facilitating the Rise of
Radical Islamism and Terrorism
in Sub-Saharan Africa

On February 12, 2007, a new article was circulated in the Jihadi forums, which sketched very clearly the new direction of the strategy of al-Qaeda or global Jihad, in Africa . The article in Arabic, titled "Al-Qaeda Organization and the African Continent: Past, Present and Future", provides us with an analysis of Africa 's importance for global Jihad.
This same article was published in June 2006 by a virtual magazine of supporters of global Jihad – Sada al-Jihad (Echo of Jihad) – and was circulated in the Jihadi forums. That article in Arabic, titled "Al-Qaeda is Moving to Africa ", was written by Abu Azzam al-Ansari.

Does the Muslim Brotherhood Support Death in Darfur?

The government of Omar Hassan al-Bashir, Head of the Sudan, is allegedly made up primarily of members of the Muslim Brotherhood.

So why does the Brotherhood not intervene? Could it be that they are complicit in it's genocide?

They appear to be not involved in any way that inhibits the death and destruction.
Further, their silence speaks volumes (for you Jihadis, that is an expression that means that we know that by not speaking out on 200,000 deaths, we know that the Brotherhood supports it)

Battle in Democratic Republic of Congo

Up to 600 people have been killed in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in fighting between the army and a former presidential candidate's forces, European Union ambassadors say.

Fighting erupted on Thursday after troops loyal to Jean-Pierre Bemba refused an order to disarm under a plan to cut his security detail to 12 police officers.

Islamic Business Terms & Concepts

Islam forbids monopolies by outlawing the hoarding of wealth (Al-Ihtikar)Eliminates copyright or potency laws that would open the avenue for potential monopolies to develop.

Islam Protects the ownership of businesses and companies by restricting ownership of companies only to those who contribute both capital and effort to the company or business, thus effectively putting the seal on such concepts as "corporate takeover" from ever becoming a reality.

The Exchange Contract is the most basic of all contracts and the most important building block for a financial and economic system. Most of the financial products, services and instruments are based on this contract.

monetary & fiscal
The role and realm of reign of each will be specified to the set of assumptions that is derived from the Islamic economic system, which include
Zakah, prohibition of interest,
moderation in consumption,
the Islamic inheritance system, Hisbah, Qirad,
Co-existence of private and social ownership of the means of production.
Zakah (Zakat) provides a major means of fiscal policy because it affects
  • the allocation of resources,
  • the level of aggregate demand and the
  • distribution of income as well since the variations in the volume and the timing of collection and disbursement of Zakah creates variations in disposable income and fixed and circulating capital.
  • The economic policy has to do with the role of the government Such a government role is made available through its ownership of the major natural resources and al-Hisbah.

Al Hisbah

  • Price control,
  • Market management mechanisms,
  • Supervision of economic activities
  • trade & business
During the height of the great Islamic civilization, trade was among the most important activity in wealth creation. Today in a world that is being rapidly globalized, trade has become even more important, facilitated by the advancements in information and communication technology and the greater capacity and speed of transportation. Whereas in the past trade could be carried out through the barter of goods, the Muslim world would still have to trade with the rest of the world as individual countries or as a regional group or as an Islamic Financial Community.

Islamic Banking

Islamic Banks operate under Sharia Law. Among other distictives, They have a fee based system, because charging interest to other Muslims is spoken against in the Quran.

There is even an Islamic Public Accountant certification.

According t0 Wikipedia,

Islamic banking refers to a system of banking or banking activity that is consistent with Islamic law (Shariah) principles and guided by Islamic economics. In particular, Islamic law prohibits:

  • usury, the collection and payment of interest, also commonly called riba in Islamic discourse.
  • Generally, Islamic law also prohibits trading in financial risk (which is seen as a form of gambling).
  • In addition, Islamic law prohibits investing in businesses that are considered unlawful, or haraam (such as businesses that sell alcohol or pork, or businesses that produce media such as gossip columns or pornography, which are contrary to Islamic values).

In the late 20th century, a number of Islamic banks were created, to cater to this particular banking market.
By 2005 there were at least 300 Islamic Banking Institutions. It is a 2 billion $ business, expected to be 4 Billion $ by 2015.

A short list of Islamic Banks

  • Dubai Islamic Bank. (UAE)

Certified Islamic Public Accountants for Islamic Mega Banks

Since 1991, when the Islamic banking and finance industry itself decided that the existing international standards were inadequate to cater for its needs, we have come a long way to being recognised as the main standard-setting organisation. We have now issued 56 standards on accounting, auditing, governance, ethical, and Shari'a standards, including a statement on capital adequacy. Over the years, AAOIFI has taken significant steps to encourage the application and enforcement of its standards throughout the world.

From their Website-Certified Islamic Public Accountant documents

AAOIFI is an international autonomous non-profit making corporate body responsible for developing accounting, auditing, governance, ethics and Shari’a standards for the Islamic finance industry. AAOIFI is supported by more than 120 member organizations and contributes significantly to the global Islamic finance industry by establishing and promoting adherence to high-quality professional standards and improving the human capital expertise in the industry. AAOIFI was established in 1990 and has its corporate office in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Islamic Banks have their Own Auditing Standards

Since 1991, when the Islamic banking and finance industry itself decided that the existing international standards were inadequate to cater for its needs, we have come a long way to being recognised as the main standard-setting organisation. We have now issued 56 standards on accounting, auditing, governance, ethical, and Shari'a standards, including a statement on capital adequacy. Islamic Mega Bank being built

The idea of an Islamic mega-bank has been going around for years, mostly as a sort of Middle Eastern fantasy that had very little in common with reality. People would talk wistfully about Islamic mega-banks like they would about world peace. It sounds like a good idea, revolutionary even, but in practice impossible.

Until recently that is. Then things began to happen across the wider financial spectrum. The price of oil more than doubled as war and surging Asian economies, notably those of China and India, created unprecedented demand and the countries that produced oil started seeing their budgets ballooning as the revenues kept coming in.

The GCC banks were a natural deposit for all this cash, especially in the aftermath of 11 September as many Middle Eastern investors started looking at other places to invest their oil wealth.

Banks started springing up around the Gulf and they, in turn, started investing this money for their clients in a wide range of ventures as the booming economies in turn created yet more demand for specialised banking products. People had fantastic amounts of money to invest and a small but growing number of Islamic banks started coming to the fore in the region.

Why We don't Understand Jihad

World views are so opposite that they cannot communicate with each other.

If your world view is that religion serves the purpose of helping us behave better, then you can tolerate it as long as a people's religion helps people behave better. Should religion make them behave worse, then you must help them develop better behavior in spite of their religion. This is the worldview of a secularist.

If your world view is that your purpose and objective is to connect with God, then your behavior toward others is of second or even third concern. It is the objective of the religious Muslim who knows and literally believes their Quran to bring the entire globe under submission - to their God. This is the world view of the religious Muslim.

Western Secularists will try and discuss peace with the Middle Easter Secularists. They are free to compromise since both see their holy scriptures as a guideline, not a rule. Their will be much discussion, and this will bear no fruit.
Because secularist of neither Mid-East nor West can persuade the
fundamentalists to give up their purpose.

This lack of understanding will results in secularists continuing their roles as unwitting pawns used by both sides to provide temporary breaks in the fighting to rearm and resupply.

Most of the world cannot process & interpret what they see, because it is such a long cycle of events.

Secularists cannot conceive of a world where relationship with God precedes relationship with man...

Therefore, they will not get it; they cannot get it. This has been war, is war, and will be war. The Jihadists are prepared to fight until they die or set up an Global Islamic State, and local Islamic states in all countries on earth.
In their collective mind, they have never stopped pursuing this goal. They have just been rearming and reequipping for the last 80 years.

Do Secularists have the passion to fight a defensive war of attrition? To Help Jihadis Die, to win or ....come to know Jesus? Every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess, the Jesus Christ is Lord.

Mulsim BrotherHood in the US

Two disturbing writing receiving widespread circulation in recent day tell me a great deal about how many Muslims in the United States perceive themselves and why U.S. policy is so far, and dangerously off the mark in countering the threat of Islamists.

The first is a Washington Post op-ed” by Genieve Abdo, the keynote speaker at a recent CAIR conference. In the piece she lays out, more strongly and honestly than most of the CAIR leaders have dared to do, the true Islamist/CAIR agenda in the United States. She essentially outlines the Muslim Brotherhood position against Islamic assimilation into the Western world and starkly states that Islamist really have no interest in such assimiliation. “

What all this means is that Western hopes for full integration by Muslims in the West are unlikely to be realized and that the future of the Islamic world will be much more Islamic than Western,” she writes. This is true as long as she, CAIR and other Islamist groups continue to preach to the new generation that the more alienated one is from our culture the closer to Allah they really are.

al Taqwa Bank

...... Switzerland's Secret Service has long maintained that the Geneva Islamic Center has been used to train terrorists from Algeria and Afghanistan.

The Islamic Center in Rue des Eaux Vives, Geneva contains a large mosque, a cultural center, a school and a lecture hall.

  • In 1977, it was revealed that this mosque was funded by the Muslim World League. Following its official inauguration by Saudi King Kahled Bin Abdul Aziz, it now annually receives $5,066,130 from the Saudi establishment. It is now headed by Said Ramadan's son Hani, who in 2002 was fired as a public school teacher for defending the Sharia practice of stoning adulterous women to death.

The Geneva center has been linked with the establishment of a Muslim Brotherhood bank, called the Al Taqwa bank, in 1988. This funded terrorist enterprises. According to a 2003 US Treasury report (p. 71): "Terrorist use of online banking services is facilitated in part by banks that have terrorist ties. For instance, Al-Taqwa Bank, founded by the Muslim Brotherhood in the Bahamas in 1988, maintained branches in

  • Algeria,

  • Liechtenstein,

  • Italy, Malta,

  • Panama

  • Switzerland

and provided banking services to al-Qaeda and HAMAS until it was shut down by sanctions in the wake of September 11, 2001."

March 15, 2002

According to an unpublished list obtained by Salon, the Al Taqwa bank, part of a network of financial companies named by the Bush administration as a major source and distributor of funds for Osama bin Laden's terrorist operations, has shareholders that include prominent Arab figures from numerous countries in the Middle East.

  • Among the shareholders are the grand mufti of the United Arab Emirates and prominent families in the UAE and Kuwait.

  • Two sisters of Osama bin Laden are also on the list, undermining the bin Laden family's claim that it separated itself from his terrorist pursuits after he was expelled from Saudi Arabia in 1994.
The Rest @
January 2002

In a January 2002 letter to Swiss authorities, a senior Treasury official privately spelled out the U.S. government’s case that the Bahamian bank—one arm of an international financial network known as Al-Taqwa (Arabic for “Fear of God”)—had a lengthy history of “financing and facilitating the activities of terrorists,” including providing millions of dollars in funding for Al Qaeda and Hamas.

The Treasury letter, and another one involving Saudi businessman
Yassin A. Kadi, provide a revealing new window into the murky world of terror finance—at least as viewed by U.S. counterterrorism officials. Based largely on secret intelligence sources, the Treasury documents attempt to show how Kadi and Al-Taqwa and its founder, Youssef M. Nada, used concealed bank accounts, complex land deals and other hard-to-trace methods to steer large sums of money to terrorists.

Making a Jihad Move on Uganda on 3 Fronts

In the last few weeks, A concerted Muslim move on Uganda, a Majority Christian Country, appears to have been carried out on 3 Fronts: Government, Business, and Conflict
Government: Green Co Investments from Libya bought a controlling interest in Uganda Telecom Limited. 49 % Interest remains with the Ugandan Government. This gives unrestricted access to government officials and information sources.
  • Saudi has a new Start up telecom called "hits". This gives Salafists a reason to invest in local minority Muslim groups. Kony has agreed to reengage in Peace Talks, but only of the Khartoum, Sudanese government is involved in negotiations. This gives direct Jihadists direct access to putting pressure in Uganda.
  • Now when minority Muslims begin to make political moves toward Sharia law, Qaddafi can put pressure on the government, Saudi can raise the radical fever, and if that does not work, Sudan can pull Kony's strings and increase the threat of war.
  • I wonder who chairs the committee to bring Uganda into submission....
  • NGO Funding of Jihad

It is not new news that somestimes Islamic NGOs are used to gather and distribute funds for Jihad. These NGO spend funds on benevolent activities, in support of political activity (elections) and in defending Muslim territory, and in taking territory for Islam - (Jihad).

In fact, The principle of Zakat (alms) may be spent on a number of activities

Here is how it may work:

    1. Go to a country with banks who are money-laundering-friendly. Set up an account in the name of an NGO which you register with the state using false or easily varified information.

    2. Set up a plane "bill-board" website: publish your account numbers and all wire transfer informaiton in plain site.

    3. Pass the link around in Islam-Curious social sites, espcially western sites.
Teach them about the blessings for paying Zakat (see below)

    4. Market to Islamic business to pay their Zakat to the site. Note that it is only legitimate Zakat when Ownership of the Zakat is transfered to the receiver.
This means that once they give it, and the gift purifies their earning (Zakat means purity) they believe that they are no longer accountable for how it is spent.-They don't want to know.
    5. Transfer the Funds to account 98 like accounts, or into suitcases to send to your favorite arms dealers

I have identified few sites that look like this.

In the interests of not-giving these sites free publicity, I will not list them, but if you are researching this kind of funding, email me and identify yourself clearly I will send you the links.

"The alms are only for the poor and the needy, and those who collect them, and those whose hearts are to be reconciled, and to free the captives and the debtors, and for the cause of Allah (Note from Smron -This is the Jihad Clause), and (for) the wayfarers; a duty imposed by Allah." -IslamCity

"Economically, Zakaat is the best check against hoarding. Those who do not invest their wealth but prefer to save or hoard it would see their wealth dwindling year after year at the rate of the payable Zakaat. This helps increase production and stimulates supply because it is a redistribution of income that enhances the demand by putting more real purchasing power in the hands of poor."

It can be used forthe following:

    1. FUQARA: people who are poor and who possess more than their basic needs but do not possess wealth equal to Nisaab.2. MASAKEEN: people who are destitute and extremely needy to the extent they are forced to beg for their daily food rations.3. AL-AMILEEN: people appointed by an Islamic Government to collect Zakaat.4. MU-ALLAFATUL-QULUB: persons who have recently accepted Islam and are in need of basic necessities who would benefit from encouragement by Muslims which would help strengthen their faith.5. AR-RIQAAB: slaves who are permitted to work for remuneration and have an agreement from their masters to purchase their freedom on payment of fixed amounts.6. AL-GHAARIMEEN: persons who have a debt and do not possess any other wealth or goods with which they could repay that which they owe. It is conditional that this debt was not created for any un-Islamic purpose.
    7. FI-SABILILLAH: persons who have to carry out an obligatory deed which has become obligatory on them and subsequently (due to loss of wealth) are unable to complete that obligation. (Note from Shimron -This is the Jihad Clause)
    8. IBN-US-SABEEL: persons who are travelers and during the course of their journey do not possess basic necessities, though they are well to do at home. They could

Libya buying influence in Uganda and all over Africa

Recently free of years of UN sanctions, Qaddafi has been quietly buying influence . Using the 1.6 Billion barrels of oil Libya pumps per day.

The latest purchase of 51% by Uganda Telecom Limited (UTL) with 49 percent ownership retained by the Uganda government, gives them access into the inner workings of government and even policy, since the government now has a vested interest in making sure UTL dominates the local market.

The company also recently bought Tri Star Garments,

Libya's highest profile state owned oil company Tamoil won the 90 Million $ (US) oil pipeline between Uganda and Kenya(US) apparently without due diligence.

This is very interesting since in 2005 Tamoil was cash starved, and put a 60% ownership up for bid. It is not clear who bought them out, but they now seem to have lots of cash.

Libya has recently built a 5 star hotel on the banks of the Nile in Sudan. Locals call it "Qaddafi's Egg".

In July, 2004 Tamoil said it had agreed to buy Exxon Mobil's products and storage facilities in Niger, giving the Libyans control of jet fuel supplies to their
    neighbor's two main airports.

This controls jet fuel to all the airports in Niger

It bought Royal Dutch/Shell's distribution assets in Eritrea, in northeast Africa,
It Controls more than 50% of the country's gasoline market

Expanding Libya's portfolio in Africa has been a primary focus for Tamoil, a 100%-owned subsidiary of Oilinvest, the Netherlands Antilles-based group established in 1988 as the oil investment arm of the Libyan government.

In a 2004 visit to Nigeria, an Oilinvest team expressed interest in buying either the Port Harcourt or Warri refineries, and setting up its own distribution network.

The group is also a majority shareholder in Odex Exploration, a joint venture with UK independent Soco and Russia's Gazprom eyeing upstream ventures in North Africa, including Libya.

Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan arrested in Kenya

NAIROBI: The Kenyan police have arrested a man they believe to be a key Al Qaeda suspect who tried to shoot down an Israeli airliner and helped plan the simultaneous bombing of a hotel in 2002 that killed 15 people, officials said.

The man's identity was not immediately confirmed, but investigators said they believe he is Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan, a senior official in Kenya's security services told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the matter was classified.

Congo sells Uranium - to Iran?

The head of Congo’s atomic energy commission, Fortunat Lumu, and an aide were arrested, “accused of having illicitly sold a quantity of uranium,” Attorney General Tshimanga Mukendi said.

He refused to give the amount of uranium or the reported buyer. In August the government denied a report in The Sunday Times of London that a uranium shipment left its territory in 2005 for Iran. Officials declined to say if the arrests and the report in The Times were related

The two arrested were trying to create fictitious companies to sell uranium, Bonane said, adding they were in the process of selling off the radioactive materials when they were detained.
Bonane declined to give further details, saying investigations were continuing.

80% of Al Qaida Web Masters killed in 4 years

I have been frustrated, at times, being unableto find these famous al Qaida web sites that are doing so much damage( if you read the press). Now I know. The Internet Haganah points out that most have been killed. They also demonstrate in an interesting new post that the effectiveness of al Quida online is mostly myth.

Ahmadinejad of Iran & Saudi King Abdullah meet in Riyadh

Saudi funds Sunnis and Iran funds Shias. The two who are fudning the Iraq insurrgency met Saturday....I would have loved to be fly on the wall there....I wonder if they discussed Lebanon and Africa....

TEHRAN, IRAN - The leaders of rival regional powers Iran and Saudi Arabia are vowing to curb the sectarian strife that is increasingly defining conflict across the Middle East.

The pledge to calm tensions, as Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made his first official visit to meet Saudi King Abdullah in Riyadh on Saturday, illustrates the growing regional alarm over Shiite-Sunni violence. Sectarian bloodshed has soared in Iraq – often at the hands of allies and coreligionists of these rival nations – and is threatening stability in Lebanon.

Yet while both leaders prefer to blame outside actors for the increase in sectarian tension – their promises to support peace notwithstanding – elements in Iran and Saudi Arabia have helped to finance sectarian militias in Iraq and, in the case of the Saudis, engaged in heated sectarian rhetoric. Still the leaders stated that the "greatest danger" to Islam is the "attempt to fuel the fire of strife between Sunni and Shiite Muslims" and called for unity, the official Saudi Press Agency reported.

Sunnis killed by Sunnis for talking to Shias

BAGHDAD (AP) — Six Sunni men who had received death threats for meeting with local Shiites were killed Saturday in execution-style slayings, Iraqi police and military officials said.

The attack near Youssifiyah, 12 miles south of the Iraqi capital, was apparently connected to rising sectarian violence that has included the claimed abduction and execution Friday of at least 14 members of the Shiite-led security forces. But in this case, Iraqi authorities said they believed Sunni gunmen had killed fellow Sunnis — revealing a rift between those who support reconciliation with Shiites and those who will kill to stop it.

Alms (Zakat) Pay for Jihad-by Islamic Law & Tradition

In the West, We about Islamic Alms giving. Christians or Jews may assume it is like the "Tithe" .

    They would be wrong.

Though Zakat is to provide for the poor and other worthy causes like disaster relief, It is also used to Defend the Umma (Islamic Lands) and to expand them.

uses for Zakat are as follows: (from Wikipedia)

Faqir - One who has neither material possessions nor means of livelihood.
Miskin - One with insufficient means of livelihood to meet basic needs.
Amil - Workers associated with the collection and distribution of Zakat.
Muallafathul Quloob - One who converts to Islam. Literally those whose hearts are softened.
Riqab - One who wants to free himself from bondage or the shackles of slavery.
Gharmin - One who is in debt (money borrowed to meet basic, halal expenditure).
Fisabilillah - Literal meaning 'In the way of God', but it is used for Jihad.
Ibnus Sabil - One who is stranded in journey.

The Zakat is collected, and Islamic banks have accounts set up for the collectors of Zakat. Some accounts are co-mingled, or dedicated to Jihad, like Account 98

Therefore, if an Islamic Student group in the US collects donations to support Tsunami Victims in Indonesia, when the funds arrive in country it is perfectly ethical under Islamic Law and tradition to use the funds to equip and Pay Jihadists.

This is convenient. This means the student collectors in the US can plausibly deny knowledge of how the funds were spent and claim ignorance, calling the US government "liars" when investigators trace the funds back to them.

Question to ask your local Western Islamic Charity: If you collect for the poor, how will I know it will not be used to support Jihad? look up carefully any islamic Charity that is operating in a Jihad region. There are a number of databases that various governments have created to identify Islamic Charities who have been used to fund Jihad. Many are listed in the collumn at the right.
