Jonathan Clayton in Johannesburg and Michael Evans of the London Times report that British Nationals are not required to show a visas from London before transfering to flights to Pakistan , where they attend al Qaida training.
- Shezhad Tanweer, two of the July 7 suicide bombers, had visited Pakistan before July 7 and received instructions from al-Qaeda figures,
- Kenya, Tanzania and Madagascar have visas available on arrival, and South Africa requires no visas for stays less than 90 days.
- About 30,000 British Pakistanis fly to Pakistan every year
- The Rest @ The Times Online
It is my guess that the UK probably tracks those who fly through, even without visas. It would be a good plan to track known al Qaida sympathizers (who have not yet commited a crime) to Pakistan, ( where they commit a UK crime by going to al Qaeda training) and follow them around for a few days to get more names, then arrest them.
-My concern is for the African countries that are NOT tracking their people who go to al Quida training and hten come home.
